I always try to have a POSITIVE word of the day---However

This week has been a tough week for us Americans.
Losing Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson, has made us all think about life.
I am trying to stay positive, as I too have had not the best of weeks, ending last nite, in what my sister would say I had a "melt-down."
I did however have a good friend help & listen, this helped, but as I hung up my phone, flood gates re-opened.

On channel 6, the weather man, Al Roker, summed this week up.

"The old, the sick & the sudden" has happened to us, all this week.

We are all grieiving, I still can't think of a positive word to encourage me or others.
But for sure, all these familes will pull together & be together. This is postive enough for me.

Michael Jackson

Can you imagine being 5 yrs old & having the career he had?? I can't.

For me, I remember the younger years, love The Jackson 5, and loved that the most.
A B C, 1 2 3....Rock With You......so many good songs.
I will admit I do have The Thriller album and is tucked away.....
I wasn't into the newer Albums and music Michael Jackson did. Actually, kinda strange stuff.
All in all, Michael Jackson, an icon in the music industry, he will be missed & my sympathies go to the entire Jackson family.

Farrah Fawcett

I think a lot of my friends grew up w/Charlie's Angel......

Fawcett was also a pop culture figure whose hairstyle was emulated by millions of young women and whose poster sales broke records, making her an international sex symbol in the 1970s and 1980s.
She died of anal cancer on June 25, 2009, at 9:18 A.M. She was 62.[3]

***She will be missed!!

Boy, I should be in jail from all the stealing I do from my Sister & Brother-in-law's blog!!

These are the truth!!!

You Know You're An Older Parent When:

•There’s a schedule conflict between Grandparent’s Day and Parent’s Day at school.

•Your bedtime comes before theirs. (AA parents stay up later--not much, but they do!!)

•Playing on the floor involves you sitting on the couch. (AA's Daddy get's right in there on their floor & plays!!!)

•All your lullaby tunes include a subtle mix of The Beatles. (and Daddy CAN SING WONDERFULLY!! Pls don't ask Mommy too--haha)

•You keep increasing your term life insurance.

•The guardians named in your Will ask, “How are you doing?” And mean it. (isn't that your other children??)

•You worry about losing your drivers license at the same time your child is worried about getting theirs.

•When dining out you qualify for Kids Eat Free and the Senior Discount! (you are taking advantage of this program--aren't you??)

•Strangers smile and ask how many grandchildren you have. (I don't think Daddy likes this one--HOWEVER--they do have grandchildren!)

•Your 3 year old is an Aunt. (well AA is 2 1/2 & her neices are 5 & 3--right--haha--)

This is KM, AA's 5 yrd old neice!!!

Love all my Florida family!!!!!!

This is AC, AA's 3 yr old neice!!!

A very nice way to end my trip, a swim w/AA!!!!!

Ed McMahon

LOS ANGELES – Ed McMahon, the loyal "Tonight" show sidekick who bolstered boss Johnny Carson with guffaws and a resounding "H-e-e-e-e-e-ere's Johnny!" for 30 years, died early Tuesday. He was 86. McMahon died shortly after midnight at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center surrounded by his wife, Pam, and other family members, said his publicist, Howard Bragman.

Don Rickles, a frequent "Tonight" guest, said McMahon was "a friend from the day I first walked" onto the show's stage.

"That kind of fun will never be repeated. Ed was the best at what he did and will never be replaced. Another giant is gone," the comedian said.

"I will miss that laugh, and I will miss him," said Bob Newhart, another "Tonight" regular.

David Letterman paid tribute to McMahon as a "true broadcaster" and key part of Carson's show.

"Ed McMahon's voice at 11:30 was a signal that something great was about to happen. Ed's introduction of Johnny was a classic broadcasting ritual — reassuring and exciting," Letterman said, adding, "We will miss him."

Letterman's bandleader, Paul Shaffer, said McMahon "defined professionalism in broadcasting."

David Brenner, who often filled in as a guest host for Carson, called McMahon "the best sidekick TV has ever known."

I Thought I Lost You--Miley Cyrus & John Travolta

Miley Cyrus feat John Travolta - I Thought I Lost You Lyrics

Miley:
Nobody listens to me,
Don’t hear a single thing i say,
Say anythangs to me,
Anything to get u on my head.
Don’t know how i really feel,
Cuz its the faith that makes it
like that i don’t care!
Don’t know how much it hurts,
to turn around like u were never there.
Like somehow you could be the break.
And i could walk away from the promises
we made. And swore we’d never break!!

(Miley and Travolta)
CHORUS:
I thought I lost you when you ran away to try to find me,
I thought i’d never your sweet face again.
I turned around and you were gone and on and on the base print.
I kept the moments that we were in.
And i knew in my heart, that you would
come back for me,my friend!!
And now i got you! When i thought i lost you!

BRIDGE
Travolta:
I told myself i wouldn’t sleep,
Till i searched the world from sea to sea

Miley:
I made a wish upon a star,
I turned around and there you were,
TOGETHER:And now here we are

Miley:
Here we are!!
I thought I lost you!

Travolta:
I thought I lost You!

Miley:
YOU!!
TOGETHER: Yeah i thought I lost you

This comes from the movie "Bolt." Cute enough.

I didn't even look @ who was int he movie, or voices I should say. My son's gf wanted to see this & liked it, so we got it & watched it.

It wasn't til the end & this song that I reconized John Travolta's voice. I foeget that he can sing, let alone act.
It's worth watching it!

THE CLIMB

This song touches me--no matter what people say about Miley, this is a grand song!

Miley Cyrus - The Climb Lyrics

I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice inside my head sayin,
You’ll never reach it,
Every step I’m taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

The struggles I’m facing,
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I’m not breaking
The pain I’m knowing
But these are the moments that
I’m going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on,

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It’s all about
It’s all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

'll Be A Run Away--Love & Theft

It's been a long week, I've got a slow leak in my left front tire.
I'm sick of where I work, my boss is such a jerk,(no she isn't!) don't care if I get fired.
My backs about to break, no money in the bank, and she don't call me anymore.
I'm down to my last ring, it's time to sell my things,

CHORUS:
And pack my bags, and never look back, run a parallel line with the railroad tracks, and make my get away.
I put the pedal to the metal as the sun goes down.
Leave everybody sleepin in this sleepy town tonight, and at the break of day, I'll be a runaway!

A hundred miles in, I got a stupid grin on my scruffy face.
With every cigarette, I'm burning my regrets.
Don't want to leave a trace.
And from the rear-view, I've got clear view of who I used to be.
A little bit faster now, don't wanna turn around.

I'm gonna pack my bags, and never look back.
Run a parallel line with the railroad tracks, and make my get away.
I put the pedal to the metal as the sun goes down.
Leave everybody sleepin in this sleepy town tonight.
And at the break of day, I'll be a runaway! I'll be a runaway!
I'll be a runaway, I'll be a runaway!

It's crazy, I know, to count on this road and give me what I need.
But with every state line, somehow I find, another part of me.
Yeah-e-yeah!

I'm gonna pack my bags, and never look back.
Run a parallel line with the railroad tracks, and make my get away.
I put the pedal to the metal as the sun goes down.
Leave everybody sleepin in this sleepy town tonight, and at the break of day, I'll be a runaway! I'll be a runaway! I'll be a runaway!

The Andy Griffin show

Salty Dog

I wanted to express my deepest sympathies to Ford & Alyson Morgan.
Salty Dog has passed and he is healthy, happy and not in anymore pain.
I Love You both & am sorry you had to endure his pain too.
